What with FaceBook and other social networks, I have not kept up this blog page.  We went to my 50th Glendale High School class reunion in May and enjoyed reconnecting with old classmates.  The following week, we flew back to Annapolis, MD to attend the graduation our friend’s Tracy and Linda’s son, Chase, from the Naval Academy.  We stayed almost one week and just walked around the area.  The graduation was pretty spectacular with all the midshipman and family in the stadium.  We also attended Chase and Nicole’s wedding which was held at the Naval Academy church.  We had a great time. 

Spent some time in Mendocino, CA at the Brewery Gulch Inn in August, with the Guthrie’s.  We enjoyed seeing the area and the Brewery Gulch Inn is a great place to stay. 

In September we flew up to Yakima, WA with my sister Janice and her husband Greg to visit with the Roy family.  We wanted Greg to see the hop operation during harvest and we all had a great time. 

After getting back from Yakima, we flew to Corpus Christi, TX to pick up a used 2010 Ford F-250 I had purchased over the internet.  We drove back and visited with Judy Welser Witthuhn, her daughter Staci and granddaughter Madi in Gilbert, AZ.  Also stopped and stayed with Tracy and Linda Strickland in Boulder City, NV.  Turned into a nice road trip.

I am still working part time and Betz is riding horses as much as possible.  She really is enjoying her time with the horses.  All the kids are involved with sports and we try to go to as many games as possible.  We are at a slow time now with only Blake in club soccer and Amanda in club volleyball.  Colby just finished playing baseball at the high school and his team only lost one game.  Randi has her last softball game this Friday and she has made a great improvement over the season.  Amanda is performing in the yearly dance recital in Solvang this weekend and we will be going to the Friday night performance.  Scotty played soccer and basketball this year.  Skyler is working as a checker in Nielsen’s Market in Solvang and attending Hancock College in Santa Maria where is is taking Fire Science.
