I have been very bad at updating our webpage the past few years.  In 2019 we were supposed to travel to New Orelans, LA for the National FOP conference, but due to cancelled flights we didn’t make the trip.  We did attend the Naional Finals Rodeo in Law Vegas, NV, but other than that we did very little traveling.  2020 was a complete bust for us as well as most people.  The NFR was moved to TX and we decided not to make the trip.  We did attend the NFR in Las Vegas last December and hope to attend again this year.  

Betz had surgery on her hand in Sept of 2020 and had her left knee replaced in March of 2021 and had her right knee replaced at the end of June.  Since she was still recovering in August we did not attend the National FOP Conference held in Indianapolis, IN.  She handled the recovery well, and is happy about being able to do a little socializing. She is looking forward to getting back on JD and do some horseback riding.  In September we attended my 61st Glendale High School reunion in Newport Beach.  It was supposed to be the 60th held in 2020 but due to COVID it was postponed.  It was great seeing my classmates..

I am still with the City of Santa Maria as the City Prosecutor but court appearances have changed drastically the past year.  I have only made two in court appearances in the past 18 months and they were both on motions.  My court appearances are now done via Zoom on my computer which is rather convenient but instead of only having court one day a week, as it was in the past, some weeks required appearances every day.  Do miss the in court appearances and being able to interact with the court staff and attorneys.  Also miss seeing the people in the City Attorney’s Office.
